Looking for reasons to be angry?
why are people getting angry saying “oh i knew about Joseph Kony way before you guys, i’m more informed” blah blah. it’s stupid. if you knew about it like i did, then you obviously didnt do anything in your power to continue spreading the word enough to reach the publicity that it’s getting now.
and why bother getting angry about it? any publicity is good publicity. can’t people just be happy that the word is getting out there? that a difference is being made? even if some people are blindly following it just because whatever. the point is to make a difference and that is what’s happening.
i knew about Kony a couple years ago when they showed us presentations and short films in school. i also knew about him before i travelled to the dominican republic this time last year to help build a house for a less fortunate family. but now we have this campaign, now we have the posters, the movie, the bracelets and our social media sites to spread the word, regardless of how old the word is.
so stop looking for reasons to hate, we don’t need another Joseph Kony in this world.
