scars

it’s good to talk about the things that have scarred you, because while telling the story to another, you are putting it into a final perspective for yourself, connecting it to the bigger picture and kinda making peace with it.

I have a 45-minute drive ahead of me from Caledonia to home. I decide to play Daft Punk to cheer me up and keep myself occupied for the road ahead. At almost 1 in the morning, I’m way past my curfew but that’s the least of what’s been worrying me lately. I should have died tonight, but the boy…

Slenderman

i made the horrible mistake last night of going through all 6 hours of footage with my buddies of Slenderman on youtube. i do not recommend watching it alone. the story is fucking scary as hell and messes with your brain.
think of paranormal activity meets the blair witch project only way worse. the kids get sick, people go missing…. the introductory/documentary video is here.  and if you are really interested after that in the story then the first entry is here. it’s super scary cause you are given all these clips and eventually it pieces together a story. at first you’re just trying to find out who slenderman is and how he moves, etc, but then more layers get added and you want to know what happens to these kids and who’s Jessica and so much more. i dont even think it’s over yet.

but the whole idea of Slenderman is that he follows you no matter where you go, and he doesn’t get you so much as he draws you in through curiosity. the PC game is also amazing. it’s really small, like 89MB. its a simple game where you’re placed on a map in a dark forest with a flashlight (that will eventually die) and you have to collect 8 pages that are in certain areas. that’s the whole game. simple right? still not easy. you can’t run very fast with your flashlight on, slenderman is always behind you, the music and drums create soooo much suspense, and when he catches up to you and gets you he pops out every time and distorts the camera just like in the entries on youtube. the map is also based off those videos, so if you watch a fair amount of them first and THEN play the game, it’s even scarier cause you’ve seen all those places and all the people go missing and what happened to them.

anyways i didn’t sleep last night because i indulged myself in this stupid myth for 6 HOURS. i powered through it cause i need to know endings so then i can make peace with it, but ITS NOT OVER YET cause the kid is STILL making entries UGHH. i just need to bombard you once and get it all out of my system. but if you’re bored and looking for something interesting, well, you’re fucking welcome lol.
